Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy

The aim of this goal is to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Although there has been noticeable growth in the amount of households that have access to electricity, the progress was not equal. Investment in clean energy remains uneven, with developing countries receiving a relatively small share despite the high need. Many places around sub-Saharan Africa still lack proper access to clean cooking and electricity. The percentage of households with electricity indicates the limited access to clean energy and highlighting the unequal opportunities worldwide.
