Aaron van Geffen

Aaron van Geffen is working as a data scientist and scientific programmer at the Nijmegen School of Management at Radboud University. Within the Global Data Lab (GDL), he is responsible for the data infrastructure, implementation of version control, as well as the design and maintenance of its website.

Having graduated with a master’s in the cognitive sciences, Van Geffen maintains close ties with the Donders Centre for Cognition, where he collaborates with researchers on the Multilink model. This model is used to explain and predict word recognition and translation in the human mental lexicon, with notable applications in Dutch—English and Japanese.

Before his current position, Van Geffen worked as a scientific programmer in the ERATO MMSD project at the National Institute of Informatics (Tokyo, Japan), primarily concerned with the development of tools aiding in the formal verification of self-driving vehicles.
