Kiri van den Wall Bake
I am a PhD candidate at the environmental science department at the Radboud Unversity. My research focuses on the integrity of voluntary climate action, with a particular focus on the role of carbon credit use, cooperative climate initiatives, and climate target setting. I aim to explore interactions between these concepts, including how cooperative climate initiatives address carbon credit use and target setting, but also how carbon credit use affects the ambition and progress of climate targets. Integrity is a key concept throughout my research, allowing me to touch upon aspects such as effectiveness, inclusiveness, justice, and accountability. I aim to combine quantitative methods such as statistical and machine learning techniques with qualitative analyses to provide in-depth insights.
