Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR)

Representing about 200 million people, the CPMR campaigns u202fin favour of a more balanced development of the European u202fterritory. It operates both as a think tank and as a lobbyu202ffor Regions.

Through its extensive network of contacts within the EU u202finstitutions and national governments the CPMR has,u202fsince its creation in 1973, been targeting its action towards u202fensuring that the needs and interests of its Memberu202f Regions are taken into account in policies with a highu202fterritorial impact.

It focuses mainly on social, economic and territorial u202fcohesion, maritime policies and blue growth, andu202f accessibility. European governance, energy and climateu202fchange, neighbourhood and development also representu202fimportant areas of activity for the association.
