GDL Code & Shapefiles

To compare sub-national regions over time and display them on a map, a coding scheme is needed that provides each region with a unique code. For this purpose we have developed the GDL-Code scheme, which can be downloaded below.

Below you also find the SHAPEFILES needed to show the GDL indicators on a map. The indicator values can be connected with the shapefiles of the regions on the basis of the GDL-Codes. The Subnational Human Development Index is added to show the variation between regions.
